Configure referable staff in ERN QRG
This guide describes how to set up referable staff members in ERN so that when recording behaviour incidents, staff members can refer the incident to an authorised staff member. You can have multiple referable staff members. They will all appear in the ‘Refer To’ dropdown menu.
Background
All referrable staff members must be made referable before a behaviour incident is entered so they appear in the ‘Refer to’ dropdown menu. These must be approved by your principal first.
Note: Staff details that appear in the screenshots are fictional.
Before you start
- Principals and School Administrative Manager’s (SAM’s) are responsible for allocating referable staff members in the ‘Place Management’ tab in ERN.
- Log into ERN
Detailed instructions
1. Select Place Management in the left-hand menu
2. Select the Staff Maintenance tab at the top
3. Find and select the staff member you require to bring up their profile details.
4. Select the 'Referable?' checkbox.
Note: The referable staff member must have an email address set up. This enables referrals to be sent as emails to the referable staff member.
5. Click ‘Save’ or ‘Save & Exit’
Note: When recording a student’s behaviour incident in ERN, the referable staff member appears in the ‘Refer To’ dropdown.
