Youngest and Eldest Report - QRG

This quick reference guide shows you how to navigate the Formatted Youngest and Eldest Report in ERN.

Background

ERN Reports are available in two views: Formatted and Dynamic. Formatted Reports include auto-filtered criteria and Dynamic reports allow you to select custom filters to create the report result.

This report can be used to create lists for family correspondence to be sent home via one student for each family.

Before you start

The Youngest and Eldest Report is a Formatted ERN report.

System to use

Log in to the staff portal and select ERN.

Detailed instructions

1. Select ERN School Enrolment, and then select Reports from the main menu.

2. Select the Formatted Reports Tab, and then select the Youngest and Eldest Report Tab.

3. Select Youngest or Eldest in the Youngest/Eldest drop-down list.

4. Enter the search criteria.

Select the required filters .

Filter Purpose
Group By Total groups by Roll Class or Scholastic Year
Statistics Only When selected, all other options are unavailable. The report is a count only.
Include Family Code Select to include Family Code in the report
Include Family Mailing Title Select to include the family mailing title in the report for mail outs and labels.
Include Scholastic Year Select to include the scholastic year in the report
Include Roll Class Select to include roll class in the report

5. Select the scheduling options.

Field Description
Report Name Enter the name of the report.
Run Report Select when to run the report.
Report Format Select a format for the report output (PDF or CSV).
Email Notification

Select if email notification is required. This option is useful for large reports, you'll receive an email notification when the report is ready for download.

6. (Optional) Select the Save Criteria button.

Note: For frequently run reports, you can save the report criteria by using this button. To retrieve the report in the future, select the Load Criteria button.

7. Select the Schedule Report button.

8. Select the paper icon, and then select Download against the report you wish to download.

Tip: You can also select My Report from the main menu, and then select Download against the report you wish to download. The advantage of using the paper icon is that you can amend the report criteria, if required.
Note: To delete a report from the list, select the check box next to report ID and select the Delete Report button.
