Help on this page
All addresses associated with the family will be listed. If the parent/carers have different addresses, such as residential, correspondence or business address, they will be included in the list. To select the address to be adjusted, click the Address. The address will be displayed in an extra window which opens below the Address Details list.
NOTE:
There are 2 types of addresses being refreshed into the CPC data extract:
- addresses belong the Main Family, and
- address belongs to the Other Parent/Carer
Main family address
In the main family, there are 2 addresses being refreshed into the CPC data extract are
- Family Correspondence Address with the highest priority, and
- Family Residential Address with the highest priority
Please note: the addresses created for Mother or Father will not be refreshed into the CPC data extract.
Other parent/carer family address
In the other parent/carer family, only 1 address is being refreshed into the CPC data extract, i.e. the Family address with the highest priority. It could be:
- Family Correspondence Address, or
- Family Residential Address, or
- Family Business Address
Likewise, the address created for Mother or Father will not be refreshed into the CPC data extract.
It is always the family addresses being refreshed into the CPC data extract for Main Family and for the Other Parent/Carer.
Quick address
Using the quick address. The Quick address function is very clever at ‘guessing’ the most likely address you are entering and is quite tolerant. However it does need some clues.
When entering a quick address the best format to enter is :
Number Street/Road Name, Suburb Name, Post Code, State
The ‘commas’ between each piece of the address are very important as they help the computer know where one bit ends and another bit starts.
The system will almost always be able to find good matches with the above data. The system will also find decent matches with the Post Code or/and State missing. Please note you can simply use NSW for the state.
If you miss the Street/Road number or the suburb the system will have a guess but probably give you a lot of choices to select from.
If you miss the street or road name then the system really has very little chance to assist you.
The system handles typo’s and spelling mistakes to some extent.
Processing keys
- Create: Create a new address
- Cancel: Return to Student menu
- Back: Return to Student menu
- Save: Save current address
- Save and Exit: Save current address and return to Student menu
- Delete: Delete the current address
