How to access online enrolment training environment

The purpose of this guide is to provide instructions on how to access the online enrolment training environment.

To access the Online Enrolment training environment, first go to 'Staff Portal' Inside the department link. This will take to your 'essentials'. Staff must have access to ERN and the Online Enrolment System to be able to use their training environments.

  1. From your essentials click on ‘Training – ERN’

Once you are in the training environment, select ‘Online Enrolment’ from the menu. The menu will look the same as your real (live) ERN portal, so it may not have the same options as shown in the example menu below.

  1. You can confirm that you are in the training environment, by viewing the banner
  2. Click on ‘Online Enrolment’
  1. You can navigate to the parent interface using the menu at the top
  2. You can confirm that you are in the training environment, as the banner at the top will be red

You can navigate to the training Parent Interface (PI) to create example applications from the perspective of a parent. Once these have been submitted, you can process these in the School Interface (SI).

  1. Always check the address and the red banner to make sure that you are in the training environment
  2. Enter an example address to begin your application
