Issue an enrolment application online
This guide will show how a school can issue an enrolment application to the parent/carer via email.
Please note: approval is required from your principal when using this process for an out of area application, as this will offer a place and bypass the out of area process.
1. Click on issue enrolment application.
2. Enter the information requested on screen, this should be provided by the parent/carer.
3. Then click search students .
You then have the option to choose one of the following
a) select the relevant student if there is a match.
b) create sibling (this will create a new SRN) choose this if a record appears that is the sibling of the student being searched for.
c) if you didn’t find the match you were looking for you can search for another student.
d) if no records match and no siblings attend a NSW school, scroll to the bottom of the page click create a new student.
4. In this example, we will create a new student
5. You will see the information already entered in the search will be prepopulated.
6. Please choose the enrolment type (applicable to your school), the intended start date and the scholastic year.
Please note: issuing a new enrolment application will register the student as interested in ERN
7. Enter the students residential address
8. If the student is an out of area enrolment please select the criteria that supported that decision.
9. Enter the students postal address if it differs from the residential address, if it’s the same tick box and continue.
10. Enter the parent/carer contact details
11. Then click issue the application
12. The following screen will then appear advising the enrolment application has been issued.
13. You will also notice the student appear in the enrolment applications screen with the status issued.
The parent/carer will then receive an email, see an example below.
When the parent/carer logs into they will see the enrolment application waiting (see example below), they will need to click proceed and complete the remaining sections of the application.
