ASQA has contacted all students who have obtained a qualification from the below RTOs:

• Luvium Pty Ltd (trading as Australia ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø & Career College) - impacting students from January 2023
• Gills College Australia Pty Ltd (Gills College, trading as Elite College Australia and/or Sterling Business College 2417/01701G) - impacting students from January 2022.

ASQA has notified impacted students. The NSW Department of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø, as the regulatory authority for the ECEC sector in NSW (NSW Regulatory Authority), is working closely with ASQA, other relevant government agencies and regulators, and the sector to ensure that impacted services can be notified as soon as possible.

Approved providers and nominated supervisors who are made aware that a staff member may not be suitably qualified should contact the department’s Early Childhood ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and Care Information and Enquiries team on 1800 619 113 or email ececd@det.nsw.edu.au for guidance on next steps.

Checking other educator qualifications

Approved providers and nominated supervisors should use ACECQA’s and search for the training provider via to check the authenticity and suitability of educator qualifications and the issuing organisation.

Approved providers and nominated supervisors should ask employees holding a VET qualification to provide a VET transcript from Unique Student Identifier (USI), which captures qualifications and statements of attainment issued since 2015: 

• USI account holders can share a full copy or extract of their VET transcript with a third party, such as an employer, which is a convenient and secure way to prove qualifications and demonstrate pre-requisites for further training.
• VET transcripts can be shared by either emailing a PDF or providing a hard copy of the document.
• The VET transcript includes a clickable link and a QR code for accessing the online record from either an electronic or hard copy, to further validate the training listed in the transcript. When using the QR code, the name and document number will populate automatically to ensure accessing the record is quick and easy for third parties.
