NSW Childcare and Opportunity Fund 2024-25 annual report released

The NSW Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund (CEO Fund) 2024-25 annual report highlights the support it is providing to families, the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector and NSW communities.
The CEO Fund’s core objective is to increase the state’s workforce participation, particularly for women, by improving the affordability and accessibility of ECEC and supporting the sector workforce.
Achievements during 2024-25 include:
- Delivered relief for 68,000 families with 3-year-olds in preschool programs through long day care.
- Launched the Building Early Learning Places Program for capital works funding to expand access in under-served areas.
- Supported 53 providers through the Flexible Initiatives Trial to adapt ECEC services to better accommodate family and community needs.
- Launched the 3-year-old Quality Preschool Program to attract and retain educators and strengthen preschool program quality.
- Continued the Business Capability Development Program to enhance provider capability to deliver high-quality, sustainable services.
