How to transfer an enrolment application from mainstream to selective
Screen captures below show fictitious examples only.
Please note:
- Mainstream enrolment applications can only be transferred to selective if they have already been processed and sent to ERN.
- If you have received a mainstream application and a selective application for the same student, if the mainstream application has not been processed it can be withdrawn and then you can process the selective application.
If the parent has completed a mainstream enrolment and it has been sent to ERN, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the selective high school offers list and click on the relevant student’s name.
2. The following screen will appear. Click the More actions button.
3. Click Mark as internal transfer. Then press confirm when the pop appears advising updates are required in ERN.
4. In ERN go to Place management
5. Click on the Registration Offers tab
6. Choose the relevant calender year the student will be enrolled and enrolment type. Then press go.
7. Then click on the green and blue people icon and tick the relevant student
8. Then click on the drop down for new registration status and select WITSCH – Withdrawn (by school), then save and exit.
9. Then go to ERN Registration
Enter student details
Click Manage Registration
Change the enrolment type to SELH - Selective High School
Change to Scholastic year 7
Enter Intended start date
Then click Register this student at my school
Schools will then complete student risk assessment in ERN ready for enrolment start date
If a parent/carer submits 2 applications – selective and mainstream
If the mainstream application has not been processed it can be withdrawn and the selective application can be processed.
If the mainstream application has been processed, please follow steps in the process above.
