LECI as a NESA recognised program supports teachers and leaders to work towards one module of evidence for the Highly Accomplished career stage.

Participants

LECI as a NESA recognised program (LECI as a NRP) is only available to NSW Department of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø school-based staff. It is appropriate for:

  • assistant principals
  • head teachers
  • assistant principals, curriculum and instruction
  • aspiring and relieving middle leaders.

About LECI as a NRP

The Leading effective curriculum implementation (LECI) professional learning series supports K–12 middle leaders to build a collective understanding of effective school leadership across NSW, aligned to the phases of curriculum implementation.

can be completed and submitted to be assessed for 6–10 standard descriptors at the Highly Accomplished Teacher career stage. LECI as a NRP professional learning and all associated tools and tasks are completed over a designated minimum six-month period.

How to apply for LECI as a NRP

Announcements of new cohorts are published in Staff noticeboards, throughout statewide staffrooms and within the .

Prior to applying for LECI as a NRP, participants must:

  • speak to their principal about their aspirations to be accredited at the Highly Accomplished Teacher career stage and their desire to complete LECI as a NRP. Participants must have access to their school’s School Excellence Plan (SEP)
  • join the

Participants must be enrolled in a LECI as a NRP cohort for their learning to be assessed as NESA recognised program.

To be enrolled in a LECI as a NRP cohort, participants must:

  • register for and attend a LECI as a NRP information webinar
  • complete a LECI as a NRP application form.

There are several additional mandatory tools and resources that must be submitted as part of LECI as a NRP which will be marked by accredited NESA HALT assessors. These tools and resources feature throughout the LECI professional learning series and participants are expected to fully engage in these tools and resources and submit them to their cohort’s LECI as a NRP classroom.

LECI as a NESA recognised program participant submissions will be assessed against the following standard descriptors:

1.2.3, 2.1.3, 2.3.3, 3.2.3, 3.6.3, 5.1.3, 5.2.3, 5.4.3, 6.3.3, 7.2.3.
