Leadership, management, and policies are important for Respectful Relationships ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø (RRE). Resources are available to help leaders implement RRE in their schools.

Commitment to Respectful Relationships ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø

Joining the RRE program shows a desire to improve or create change. Leaders can show commitment to RRE through:

  • using and promoting respectful language, practices and behaviour
  • setting a positive tone for school culture
  • creating a space for open and respectful discussions
  • creating a fairer environment for everyone – staff and students alike
  • providing the funding and staff to promote gender equality and respectful relationships.

A senior staff member ensures the coordination of activities in the school for:

  • respectful relationships.

Planning for future leaders also addresses women's barriers to becoming leaders.

Code of conduct

Your school’s Code of Conduct states that all employees, students, parents/carers, volunteers, and visitors must be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of:

  • cultural background
  • sexual orientation
  • level of ability.
