Approving or declining an SRE/SEE preference update request made by a parent online
When an online SRE/SEE preference has been submitted by the parent/carer a school will be required to accept or decline the update. New or in progress requests will show in the Online Enrolment Dashboard under Student Detail updates, schools will also receive an email.
1. Click on the Student detail updates box to see new and in progress requests.
2. The Student detail updates screen will then appear showing the new and in progress requests in the pending tab (for processed and declined requests click on the processed tab)
3. Click on the relevant student's name and the following screen will appear, you will see a message showing an SRE/SEE preference update has been requested.
4. To see the details submitted click on the arrows that will drop down and display the information.
5. Then click Get started to proceed
6. The following screen will be displayed if a student has not had their SRN linked, please select the relevant match to link the student.
Please note: if the SRN has been linked, proceed to step 10.
7. If a match is available click continue, if the details don’t match, please contact the parent/carer using their ERN details or decline the request.
8. If you clicked continue, the following screen will then ask you to confirm the SRN match, please note: green ticks will show when details have matched.
9. Then click Link SRN & continue

10. Once confirmed the following message will show SRN has linked successfully, then press continue.
Please note: If a court order is in place the following message will appear. Stating for students not currently in SRE, please ensure there are no objections (withdrawal from SRE) on file from other parents/carers of the student before moving them to SRE.
Please do not proceed until it is confirmed that the parent/carer is legally entitled to update the students SRE/SEE preference.
SRE/SEE preference is declined
You have an option to decline an SRE/SEE preference update request can be declined.
