The NSW Department of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Nanga Mai Awards ceremony celebrates and recognises Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal teachers, other departmental staff, Aboriginal community members and schools that demonstrate excellence across a diversity of areas.

About the awards

The awards are organised by the Aboriginal ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø and Communities Directorate within Office of the Secretary, NSW Department of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

Nanga Mai is an Eora (Sydney) word meaning ‘to dream’.

Thank you to all the NSW Department of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø teachers and staff who nominated outstanding Aboriginal students, teachers and other department staff, Aboriginal community members and schools that demonstrated excellence across a diversity of areas.
