Year 6 to 7 Transition
The following support material is available to all schools using Online Enrolment to manage the Year 6 to Year 7 transition.
Since March 2023 parent and carers have been able to complete a Year 7 Expression of Interest (EOI) using the Online Enrolment System. This can be found on the school's enrolment web page, located in the moving to high school section.
The year 6 to 7 transition process can be completed by parents and carers online. There are two key steps to complete the enrolment process, Expression of interest and Enrolment Application. During this time, you can find the online Expression of Interest form on your child's Primary School website under Enrolment and then Moving to High School. When completing the Expression of Interest, you'll need to supply the student details, parent carer details, and list your intended high school.
By entering your home address, the details of your local high school will appear. There are also additional options. If you are considering an out of area high school,
You can generally expect to receive an enrolment offer between June and September. The second step you have to take, is to accept the enrolment offer. You do this by submitting an online enrolment application. This needs to be done within 14 days of receiving the offer.
After submitting an online enrolment application, you will see an on-screen confirmation. This will also be sent to you by email. The high school may contact you to confirm which documents you will need to present at the school to finalise your application.
